Tools end up in the nearest drawer, cables get tossed in a box &lsquo;for now,&rsquo; and small parts are scattered around the house. Everything seems fine until I actually need the 10mm socket, and then I’m turning the garage upside down while the job waits.</p> <p>Every few months, when I clean out the attic, I rediscover things I forgot I owned. It’s a small, recurring reminder that how you store something decides how fast you can find it later.</p>
